Bradford CollegeWith a student count in the region of 28,000 and 2,500 staff, security at Bradford College has a major impact on the city. Following a number of incidents, the college decided to overhaul their security in line with an ongoing campus development plan. The initiative included installing CCTV cameras and access barriers, controlled by student cards containing barcodes. Bedfordshire University Mifare Case StudyFaced with an ageing barcode-based registration and card production system with a desire to harness the power of new e-administration technology, the University of Bedfordshire decided to take a fresh look at how they register students and manage access. A process review working group had reviewed admission and registration processes and set out a number of clear objectives, one of which was to introduce a 'smart card'. A Working Group was then established by Chris Sarchet, the Head of central Co-ordination and Support department within the Registry, and a timetable to implement the system was established. See Tickets Case StudyAndrew Lloyd Webber owned ticketing company, See Tickets, had a particular requirement. They needed a fast, mobile technology platform that allowed them to scan and validate tickets for large groups of people checking in to an event. "We work with numerous events in many different scenarios. The locations can range from a field to a massive exhibition hall.
