Metrologic's ScanPal2 is a portable cordless barcode scanner and data collection terminal with elegant styling. It is designed to provide high performance for all-day, everyday use. It is supported by a rich set of development tools, including a Windows based application generator that is supplied as standard, and optional 'C' and 'BASIC' programming capabilities.

The compact design allows the user single-handed operation, ease of use, and durability. A brightly lit LCD graphics screen with built-in contrast control allows the user to adjust the brightness of the screen, enabling it to be read perfectly in all lighting conditions.

ScanPal2 comes with either a CCD or laser scan engine to suit your application and budget. The 1MB SRAM allows for up to 50,000 records to be stored in the memory. Uploading the data collected is easily carried out via RS232, IR, IrDA, or Keyboard Wedge data transmission.

There are a multitude of applications where ScanPal2 can be put to use, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, document monitoring, factory floor data collection, shelf price audits, price checking, asset tracking, warehousing and distribution operations.

The ScanPal2 kit comprises the portable unit (CCD or laser), charger/download cradle, RS232 cable, UK power supply, Ni-MH battery, user manual and application generator software.
